MIR makes portraits of non existing architecture, here is their office in Bergen. I love the room, lot of air and the kitchen area is beautiful. It gives me a lot of inspiration....

Home in England

This beautiful house has always been one of my favourites on the television program Grand Designs. In southwest England, interior designer and avid furniture collector Kathryn Tyler built her home around the scandianvian vintage pieces. The love and passion for scandianvian design and interior spaces came from the work of Scandinavian architects like Alvar Aalto and Sverre Fehn, as well as the Swedish summer houses that Tyler saw during childhood summer vacations. “The houses we visited in Scandinavia had such a welcoming feel, often because they used lots of wood and had really well-considered layouts. They looked lived in rather than pristine and they weren’t soulless like so much contemporary modern, architecture can be.”

My new house

It is beautiful weather with us now, and we've just started using our new roof terrace, some simple chairs and tables are all we have so far ...... I have made some benches with dotted oilcloth, so that they can stand outside in the rain.
I hope soon to furnish a small outdoor kitchen and a dining table too :)
The sun creates a good atmosphere, and the fruit tastes delicious

My new house

In the new house we must make many choices, the moose has now moved into the kitchen/office :) The Evening sun is so beautiful here, the kitchen lights up. Smile from me, and thank you for the nice comments on the previous blog post.

My new house

We have finally moved into our new house, and we are so happy. I've been without internet for a while, so it has not been much blogging lately. But now the Internet is in place, and I can start blogging a bit more again.

There is still much to do in the house, but despite that we have chosen to move in. For every little detail that falls into place, I can see the big picture that starts to take shape...everything from the wooden staircase to the great concrete floor. The last few weeks we have been cleaning and washing. And the furniture are starting to fall into place. The Champagne has been opened, and we enjoy life

Here's a sneak peek at the new IKEA PS collection, I think the candlestick is cool, it's like a kit, you can buy many parts and build an infinite candlestick.
The rest of IKEA's PS collection is launched 2 May in Norway.

My new house

Today I played with Washi tape in our new living room :)and I just had to take out a lamp, to get a home feeling.

On the floor in the living room, we have chosen solid wood from pasavværk  and I am very pleased with the results so far.

It was a difficult job to get all the wood into the house, but it went well in the end, with good help from strong men.
